Our Van Life Journey & The Birth of RVision VanGear

Before RVision VanGear was even an idea, we were on a mission to find the perfect Class B Campervan. When our kids were young we traveled the traditional way - airplanes, hotels, rental cars, and cruises—but we were over it. We were craving something different. Something real.

We wanted to wake up to breathtaking landscapes, take the roads less traveled, and fully immerse ourselves in the journey—not just the destination. Most importantly, we wanted to bring our big, lovable pooch Brody along for the ride.

Finding Freedom on Four Wheels

As two mostly empty nesters, the timing felt right. We began our search 3 years prior for a van that would take us anywhere, anytime. That led us to the Florida RV Super Show in January 2022, where we first laid eyes on the brand-new THOR Sequence 20J. The floorplan is exclusive to THOR and was love at first sight.

The front area is open and functional and felt custom-made for us—a compact space with big possibilities. We knew it was the one.

A Lifestyle Shift, Not Just a Purchase

Just a few weeks later, we picked up our van fresh from the factory. That day marked the beginning of a brand-new chapter. It wasn’t just about buying a vehicle—it was about making a commitment to freedom, adventure, and a healthier, more intentional way of living.

I had already quit drinking years earlier, and believe it or not, I gave up smoking that same morning we picked up our van. This wasn’t just a purchase—it was a pivot point.

From Modifications to a Mission

As we dove deeper into van life, I started making small tweaks and improvements to our 20J. Each mod solved a problem or added comfort. The list grew and grew—now well over 100 modifications and counting (which definitely deserves its own post!).

Sharing these solutions led to something unexpected: I became the admin of the THOR Sequence and Tellaro Owners and Wannabees Facebook group, where I started helping others with their own fixes, upgrades, and ideas.

Building a Community Around Innovation

That passion grew into something even bigger. I launched two more vibrant communities:

• RAM ProMaster Mods & Hacks — Our flagship group for ProMaster owners seeking innovation and support.
• THOR Class B Network — A broader group supporting all Class B coaches made by the THOR Industries family of Companies.

These groups have become hubs for creativity, problem-solving, and sharing real-world experiences. And through it all, one idea kept coming up—a solution that didn’t exist but desperately needed to.

And Then Came RVision VanGear

That idea sparked the beginning of RVision VanGear. Our mission: to design and deliver products that enhance the van life experience. Our first release, the CHA (Cup Holder Accessory), is almost here—and it solves a surprisingly common problem for RAM ProMaster-based vans: the lack of a practical, secure, and well-placed cupholder.

The CHA isn’t just functional—it transforms your dashboard into a smarter, safer, more comfortable space. And it’s just the beginning of what we’ve got planned.
