What is the CHA?

The CHA (Cup Holder Accessory) is a Patent Pending custom-designed cup holder solution for RAM ProMaster vans, improving ergonomics, reducing distractions, and maximizing dashboard functionality.

Which model years does the CHA fit?

The CHA is designed specifically for RAM ProMaster vans and fits All Model Years. Installation steps vary slightly between 2014–2021 and 2022–2026 models.

Can I still use the wireless charger under the cup holder?

On model years 2022–2026, the CHA Cup Holder Accessory rests on the factory wireless charging pad in the center console. Once installed, the wireless charger will no longer be usable.

However, most owners consider this a benefit — the factory charger is known to be inconsistent and can cause phones to overheat. By replacing it with the CHA, you gain a solid, high-capacity cup holder that makes driving safer and more convenient.

How does the CHA install?

Installation involves securely attaching the CHA to your vehicle’s dashboard using the provided modified screws and tab on models 2014–2021. The tab is not  required for installation on model years 2022-2026.  A step-by-step guide is included with your purchase, along with a QR code with a link to the installation video on our YouTube channel (@RVision.VanGear).

Is drilling required to install the CHA?

No additional drilling is required. The CHA mounts securely using the self-piercing screws included in the package. Press firmly to set screws while installing.

Can I remove the CHA after installation?

You can remove the CHA at any time; however, this may leave small screw holes in the mounting surface. To maintain a clean look, we provide caps to seamlessly cover these holes after removal.

Why is there a small gap between the cup holder and my dashboard?

The CHA is engineered to fit a specific location on the dash. To ensure proper alignment, center the CHA within that center area during installation and press the cup holder  firmly against the dash while securing the screws. Please note that a very small gap may remain due to natural variations in the RAM dashboard molding; this is normal and does not affect performance. Be sure to firmly press the  CHA against the dash during installation.

Safety & Usage

Is it safe to use while driving?

Yes, when installed correctly. However, we advise:

• Avoid overfilling the driver-side cup holder.
• Do not place heavy or bulky items in the cup holders.
• Ensure the CHA does not obstruct vehicle controls or your view while driving.

Does the CHA interfere with vehicle controls?

No, when installed correctly, the CHA is positioned for easy reach without interfering with the gear shifter, dashboard buttons, or air vents.

Is the CHA legal for use in all states and countries?

Laws regarding dashboard-mounted accessories vary. Check your local regulations to ensure compliance before installation.

Installation & Maintenance

How do I install the CHA on a 2014–2021 RAM ProMaster?

• Attach the Tab to the CHA.
• Loosen the lower dash panel to create a small gap.
• Slide the Tab into the gap and secure the CHA using the provided screws.
• Reassemble the dash.

How do I install the CHA on a 2022–2026 RAM ProMaster?

• The bottom of the CHA rests in the on the wireless charger.
• Center and level the CHA.
• Secure it using our modified screws and screw caps.

Do I need special tools for installation?

The only tools required are:

• Screwdriver (Phillips) (NOTE: Do Not use electric screw drivers)
• Small level (recommended)
• Trim removal tool (optional for 2014–2021 models)

How do I maintain the CHA?

• Check screws periodically to ensure they remain tight.
• Clean with mild soap and water — avoid harsh chemicals.
• Do not overload the cup holders with heavy objects.
